Fatal Crash: 54-Year-Old Hauppauge Man Struck By Pickup Truck In Nesconset

A Long Island man was hit and killed by a pickup truck overnight.

The incident took place in Suffolk County around 9:20 p.m., Monday, March 3 in Nesconset.

Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating the crash that killed Paul Harrison, age 54, of Hauppauge when his scooter was struck by a 2018 Dodge Ram driven traveling westbound on Route 347 at the intersection of Southern Boulevard.

Harrison was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ram, a 40-year-old Lake Grove man, was not injured.

The Dodge and the scooter were impounded for safety checks.
